The Tinder Guest House

Built in 1896, The Tinder Guest House was once a drug store. It is in the center of the business area and located on the second floor above a craft brewery. It is almost 2,000 sq. ft and features three large bedrooms, two full baths, an “eating nook”, a reading room and a game room complete with a foosball table. The front two rooms overlook the railroad and one can enjoy watching the trains in their leisure.

From this location, you can take a jaunt to restaurants, music venues, shopping, and museums. The Hanover Arts and Activities Center is two blocks south, and Randolph-Macon College is two blocks north. It is also two blocks to the Visitors’ Center and Amtrak stops for passenger service daily. In the warmer months, you can catch Street Parties and outdoor concerts within a few blocks. And a trip to Ashland wouldn’t be complete without a stroll to take in the beauty of  the Victorian Houses along the train tracks. Private parking, smart tvs, microwave, refrigerators and coffee maker are all available for use. Enjoy the privacy of your own space, not having to worry about other guests. Come to “The Center of the Universe” for Southern Hospitality with a Train theme. This is an ideal place to relax with friends.
