It may not be Time Square, but Richmond has some fantastic New Years Eve shindigs happening to ring in 2019. From dress to the nines to dress like the nineties, here are some of the best parties to witness that shiny ball drop.

Hosted by Belle Southern Kitchen & Bar, head out to 700 East Main Street and enjoy a live DJ, midnight toast, signature Bond drinks, and complimentary party favors for their Skyball 2019. Single tickets will run you $35 and couples can get in for $65. The party starts at 10pm and goes on until 2am. 21+ only.
Just upstairs from Belle is Kabana Rooftop with their own NYE par-tay! Get a fabulous view of the city and feel like a celebrity with special guest Carlos Melange, and a movie premiere themed NYE party. They’ll have a popcorn station, “Paparazzi” snapping photos, a red carpet VIP entry, and live feed of the ball drop. This party is 21+ only and starts at 10 pm and lasts until 1:30 am. Ticket prices range depending on package chosen ($35 and up).
We are so happy to have The Tobacco Company back up and running again after the fire they dealt with this past year, but they are thrilled to be back and host their New Year’s Eve celebration. Come out for dinner and stay for the party (5 pm- 1:30 am). Reservations for dinner are required, so be sure to make plans ahead of time. Parties will take place in both the Atrium on the first floor and in the Tobacco Company Club downstairs. Starting at 5 pm, pay $25 on a first come, first serve basis in the Atrium and listen to DJ Pete with party favors and a midnight balloon drop. In the Club, pay $25 at the door for a live DJ and dancing starting at 8 pm.
Anyone who grew up in the 90s, or just appreciates a good time, should spend the last night of 2018 at this party. Listen to 90s cover band, the Bayside Tigers, sing songs from N’Sync, Spice Girls, Third Eye Blind, and any other popular 90s artist while waiting for the ball to drop. All ages are invited to come out starting at 8 pm. Dress in your best 90s gear and jam out with Saved By the 90s at The National for a rockin’ throwback New Years Eve! Tickets start at $22.
Hosting their first ever NYE event, RVA Bachata is partnering with Champion Brewing on E. Grace St. for a night for the entire family to bring in to the new year together. Enjoy music, food and drinks, dancers, a dance contest, and a midnight toast that everyone can join in on. Kids 16 and under get in free and tickets for everyone else are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Dollar drinks and a prize-filled balloon drop at midnight?! Where do we sign up? Get your $50 ticket to enjoy the perks for yourself this New Year’s Eve. Tickets include $3, $2, and $1 drinks leading up to midnight, a limited edition Buskey Cider glass, one night only cider release, included dinner, and much more.
If you’re looking for something a bit more high end this New Year’s Eve, Nota Bene Restaurant & Bar on East Main Street is hosting a cocktail party with passed hors d’oeuvres and food stations featuring oysters on the half shell, spaghetti with sea urchin, foie gras terrine, and charcuterie. Tickets for this lavish event are $100 and include tax and gratuity, as well as a complimentary champagne toast to ring in the new year and free valet parking. The party starts at 8:30 pm and is for 21+.
Our favorite arcade bar is hosting a 21+ NYE celebration starting at 8 pm with everything we already love about The Circuit, but add in snacks, raffles, live music, a dance floor, and heated outdoor tents to the mix.
One of the most stunning homes in Virginia, Dover Hall (located in Goochland) is hosting a black tie event for guests to enjoy live music by The Dickens Band, delicious culinary treats by their chef Lee Hendrickson, luxury suites with late check-outs to rest your partied out bodies after the night is through, and the promise of fun surprises. Tickets go for $120 and are 21+ only.
